Hyra is working on behalf of Charles Schwab to hire for the position of Senior AI Engineer, AI.x. This role sits within the central AI hub, focusing on building scalable core platforms and next-generation GenAI initiatives. You will lead the design and delivery of high-impact AI applications while ensuring operational excellence and site reliability.

What you'll be doing

• Design and deliver GenAI applications that enhance client experiences and business value.

• Implement monitoring, observability, and incident response frameworks for AI systems.

• Champion reliability and operational best practices across AI models and data pipelines.

• Collaborate with architects and business leaders to align solutions with enterprise strategy.

• Mentor junior engineers to cultivate high engineering standards and continuous learning.

What we're looking for

• 8 or more years of software development experience with 4 years in a senior role.

• 5 or more years of experience building and running complex products in production.

• 3 or more years of experience building applications leveraging AI models.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

• Proven expertise in site reliability, monitoring, and operational excellence for AI systems.
