About The Position
Teachers of Tomorrow is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team. The AP Accountant will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable process, reviewing and processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting month-end close activities. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. (Hybrid role: Ideal candidate will reside in Houston, Texas and/or surrounding area as they will need to come in the office once a week.)


Key Responsibilities
What You Will Do:

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and employees expense submissions for accuracy and proper approval
• Code invoices and employee expenses to the appropriate general ledger accounts
• Prepare and process payment runs (ACH, checks, wire transfers)
• Maintain vendor records, including W-9 forms and payment terms
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries in a timely manner
• Assist with month-end and year-end close, including accruals, prepaid, and AP reconciliations
