Job Summary
Oversee accounting operations for various assigned companies of the Mass General Brigham (MGB) health system. Work closely with Accounting teams and other MGB departments to review, analyze, and report the operating results of the assigned companies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required. CPA or MBA preferred
- 5+ years of experience in accounting required
- 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Public accounting/auditing experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of Workday GL/ERP systems is a plus.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes for assigned companies.
- Review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to support audits and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting and financial operations and implements necessary changes.
- Prepare, analyze, and communicate/report the operating results of assigned companies.
