A Typical Day
The
Staff Accountant
will assist the Accounting VP with monthly accounting functions and reporting. In this role, the Accountant will prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations. As the
Accountant
, you will assist the General Accounting team, as necessary, and perform ad hoc requests as required.


The Staff Accountant Will

• Process monthly general accounting entries
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Complete general ledger accounting and ad hoc management reporting as needed
• Research expense activity to support financials
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned
• Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree (accounting, finance, etc) or equivalent work experience
• Accounting software (Oracle preferred) and SQL knowledge a plus
• Must be proficient in Excel and Powerpoint
• Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
