Duties

• Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or PeopleSoft.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify the integrity of financial data across various accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP.
• Support payroll management activities utilizing systems like ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro; ensure timely processing of payroll data.
• Maintain compliance with SOX controls by documenting processes, performing internal audits, and implementing necessary controls.
• Collaborate with internal teams on budgeting, tax preparation, and financial reporting for both corporate and governmental accounting needs.

Requirements

• Proven experience in corporate accounting or public accounting environments with a strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar platforms; experience with Workday or UltiPro is a plus.
