The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking an insightful UX Researcher to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of the Inspector General (OIG). This role offers a unique opportunity to ground an enterprise artificial intelligence and data analytics program in evidence about how federal oversight professionals actually work, so that what gets built is what the mission needs.


As a UX Researcher, you will study how investigators, auditors, inspectors, analysts, and counsel do their work, and turn what you learn into decisions the program can act on. You will plan and run usability testing on OIGChat, data platform interfaces, and pilot AI applications; build the adoption measurement framework that tells leadership whether the investment is landing; and map the workflows, personas, and pain points that guide design and training priorities. You will also study the particular challenges of AI-assisted work, including how users calibrate trust in model output and where verification breaks down. Working alongside designers, developers, and the Community of Practice, you will make sure the user voice carries real weight in what gets prioritized.
