Trucking Operations Manager / Business Development Manager

About this role

Are you experienced in trucking and ready to run and build a trucking operation, but don’t currently have your own operating authority?

I’m looking for a motivated, experienced, and business-minded individual interested in helping operate and grow an established trucking company using my active MC/DOT authority, under a properly structured agreement.

This is more than a driving position. I’m looking for someone who understands the trucking business and wants the opportunity to take an active role in building the operation.

Responsibilities may include:

Managing day-to-day trucking operations

Recruiting and managing qualified drivers/owner-operators

Dispatching and load coordination

Broker and customer relationships

Maintaining required paperwork and operational compliance

Helping grow revenue and expand the fleet

Communicating consistently with company ownership

Ideal candidate:

Has trucking/transportation industry experience

Understands dispatching, brokers, rate negotiation, and load boards

Has strong business and leadership skills

Understands the importance of DOT/FMCSA compliance and safety

Is dependable, transparent, and growth-oriented

Wants to build something long-term

Business Structure:

The selected person would operate under the company’s MC/DOT authority pursuant to a written agreement. Startup responsibilities, equipment, insurance, operating expenses, compensation/revenue split, compliance requirements, and other terms will be discussed with serious candidates.

This is not an offer to simply lease an MC number. All operations must be conducted legally, transparently, and in compliance with applicable FMCSA/DOT requirements.
