Technical Writer

About this role

Are you a technical writer ready to build a documentation function from the ground up, work directly with engineering, and own the full library of customer-facing product content for a global components manufacturer? This is a newly created Technical Writer role with true ownership of datasheets, application notes, user guides, and installation guides across a growing portfolio of industrial control and power components. You'll be the first dedicated writer on the team, partnering with product engineers who have been carrying documentation themselves and are ready to hand it to a specialist. This role sits within an established manufacturer serving industrial, commercial, and utility markets, and offers a blank slate on process, tooling, and standards.

The role is fully remote within the U.S.

What your day will look like:

• Write and maintain customer-facing product documentation, including datasheets, application notes, user guides, installation guides, and white papers
• Work directly with product engineers and SMEs to translate schematics, test data, and specifications into clear technical content
• Establish templates, style standards, and a repeatable documentation process where none exists today
• Bring AI-assisted workflows and modern authoring tools into the process to move faster without sacrificing accuracy
