Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead and manage complex IT initiatives in a structured, governance-driven environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical acumen, expert-level Microsoft Project scheduling skills, and deep knowledge of SDLC methodologies. This role requires the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and maintain comprehensive project schedules in **Microsoft Project**, including dependencies, critical path, milestones, and resource allocations
• Apply SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) to manage requirements, development, testing, and deployment phases
• Communicate technical concepts, system impacts, and project updates clearly to stakeholders at all levels
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, scope changes, and governance activities
• Prepare detailed status reports, dashboards, and executive-level briefings
• Partner closely with the Senior Program Manager to ensure alignment on timelines, priorities, deliverables, and strategic objectives

Required Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of technical project management experience
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Project schedule creation and maintenance
• Strong understanding of SDLC frameworks and project governance practices
• Ability to interpret complex technical information and collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as **PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, PRINCE2**, or equivalent
• Experience supporting modernization initiatives (legacy system replacement)
• Experience working on government and/or Health & Human Services (HHS) projects

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid schedule (50% onsite required)
• Must be available to work onsite in **Albany, NY**
