Technical Business Analyst [Remote]

About this role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst with a strong background in AMS/CRM platforms, system integrations, data analysis, and software selection initiatives for associations and nonprofits.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions and gather business, functional, and technical requirements
• Analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements
• Support AMS/CRM selection and RFP initiatives, including vendor evaluations and demo coordination
• Create functional specifications, process flows, user stories, gap analysis, and technical documentation
• Work closely with clients, developers, vendors, and project teams
• Support integrations, data migration, reporting, and system implementation activities
• Assist with testing, validation, and post-go-live support
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst
• Experience with AMS/CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Dynamics 365, Fonteva, NimbleAMS, Personify, NetForum, or similar systems
• Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, and data flows
• Experience with RFP processes and enterprise software selection projects
• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently in a client-facing consulting environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with associations or nonprofits
• Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Azure, or reporting/analytics tools
• Understanding of data migration and data governance concepts
• Agile/Scrum experience preferred

Position Details

• Remote position - part time/full-time consulting
• Compensation based on experience - range hourly rate $60-80

Pay: $60.00 - $80.00 per hour

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Technical BA: 5 years (Required)
• AMS/CRM: 4 years (Required)
