JOB DESCRIPTION:
Build and maintain scalable Restful APIs and communication with the down-stream systems using Java and Spring boot. Work with JavaScript, Node.js, Kafka, AWS. (API Gateway, Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3), Kubernetes, and cloud development. Collaborate with architects, designers, product owners, and other software engineers and work on shared libraries developed in Java. Analyze client requirements and translate system requirements to task specifications for junior engineers. Analyze system to improve design and performance. Conduct design reviews to ensure code developed meets coding standard methodologies guidelines, unit testing, security, and scalability and maintainability guidelines along with SOLID design principles. Review code and provide feedback relative to best practices and improve performance. Write automated tests for new and existing code and test and build CI & CD (continuous integration and continuous deployment). Provide technical leadership to and mentor fellow team members. Present technical API solutions to internal and external cross-functional teams. Work on critical production issues and conduct root cause analysis. Work with DBAs and design proper databases for the application using any of SQL, SQL Schemas, NoSQL environments; Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, Couch Base, MongoDB the database. REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Applications, Applied Computer Science or related field. Plus 8 years of experience as a Software Developer or in an occupation involving Software Development.
