Job Description:

Join a Berlin-based AdTech company building backend systems that power large-scale performance marketing and reward platforms. You’ll lead the design and development of scalable Python services that handle pay-out generation, experimentation infrastructure, and algorithm-driven decision systems. This is a backend-focused role with strong collaboration across data and machine learning teams.

The Opportunity:

You’ll take ownership of critical backend infrastructure within a fast-growing company operating at scale. Working closely with ML and data teams, you’ll influence system architecture, improve reliability and performance, and contribute to real-time decision systems used across the platform.

What you will do:

• Lead the end-to-end design and development of scalable Python backend systems that handle pay-out generation and delivery.
• Build and maintain a continuous split-testing infrastructure that allows for robust experiment setups and evaluations.
• Design personalised payout algorithms that leverage user behaviour signals for real-time decision-making.
• Ensure system reliability and performance by reducing latency and improving throughput in high-traffic environments.
• Collaborate closely with ML engineers to seamlessly integrate machine learning pipelines and feature data into your systems.
• Set coding standards and review architecture, providing guidance to elevate Python engineering practices across the team.
