2. About the Opportunity:

The Staff Accountant II role supports the Accounting team by managing critical financial processes within a fast-paced environment. This position plays a key role in the month-end close, preparing journal entries, variance analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations. The role also contributes to audit preparations and collaborates across departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of financial data and supporting the organization’s operational and strategic goals.

3. Responsibilities:

• Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts

• Prepare journal entries, variance analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations during month-end close

• Assist in implementing and documenting accounting procedures

• Collaborate with teams outside the Accounting Department, mainly Finance and Operations

• Research and interpret financial data to answer accounting questions

• Support annual internal and external audits by preparing schedules, providing backup, and guiding auditors

• Investigate and resolve audit findings, discrepancies, and compliance issues

• Participate in other projects as needed

4. Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience

• Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills

• Ability to identify process improvements and challenge existing procedures
