Product Manager, Discovery Biology

Job Summary:

Crown Bioscience is seeking a Product Manager, Discovery Biology to lead the strategy, positioning, and growth of our discovery-stage biology services portfolio spanning in vitro systems, complex cell models, organoids, and in vivo disease models.

This role sits at the intersection of science, commercial strategy, and product development, translating Crown’s scientific capabilities into differentiated service offerings that accelerate drug discovery for biotechnology and pharmaceutical clients.

The Product Manager will own the Discovery Biology portfolio strategy, ensuring our capabilities are packaged into integrated discovery solutions that support customers from target validation through preclinical candidate selection.

Success in this role requires the ability to understand customer discovery workflows, identify market opportunities, and work cross-functionally across scientific, operational, and commercial teams to deliver services that are both scientifically rigorous and commercially compelling. This role works in a closely matrixed partnership with the Product Manager for Preclinical Pharmacology.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Strategy

• Define and execute the product strategy for Crown Bioscience’s Discovery Biology workflow, encompassing in vitro platforms, complex cellular models, organoids, and in vivo disease models.
• Translate internal scientific capabilities into market-facing discovery solutions that align with customer drug discovery workflows.
• Develop integrated study packages that combine mechanistic in vitro biology with translational in vivo models to improve decision-making during discovery.
• Maintain the discovery biology roadmap, identifying opportunities to expand capabilities, launch new services, or integrate emerging technologies.

Commercial Enablement

• Partner with global sales teams to position Crown’s discovery biology capabilities effectively.
