Staff Accountant

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. Duties

• Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards such as GAAP and governmental accounting guidelines.
• Conduct account reconciliations for the general ledger, balance sheet, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to verify data integrity.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes using accounting software such as QuickBooks.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including financial statement preparation and analysis.
• Perform data entry tasks with precision using 10 key typing skills and double-entry bookkeeping techniques.
• Other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; or relevant work experience/
• Proven experience in corporate accounting or public accounting environments with familiarity in financial concepts and technical accounting practices.
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks.
• Experience working with GAAP standards and governmental accounting principles if applicable.
• Proficiency in account reconciliation, journal entries, ledger management, and financial analysis techniques.
• Excellent math skills combined with attention to detail for accurate data entry and account analysis.
