Hyra is working on behalf of Fruition Group to hire for the position of Senior Backend Developer. This role supports a technology business undertaking a major modernization programme. The successful candidate will drive a large-scale refactoring initiative across a complex, multi-service platform.

What you'll be doing

• Leading refactoring initiatives across a complex multi-service architecture

• Driving the modernization of backend systems and legacy codebases

• Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure platform scalability

• Implementing high-quality backend solutions using Ruby and Elixir

• Maintaining best practices for code quality and system performance

What we're looking for

• Extensive professional experience with Ruby and Elixir

• Proven track record of managing large-scale refactoring projects

• Experience working within complex multi-service or microservice platforms

• Ability to start immediately and work effectively in a remote capacity

• Must have the right to work in the UK and be eligible for security vetting if required
