About The Role
The Ride Control Software Engineer Principal (Design Assurance) plays a critical role within Walt Disney Imagineering’s Ride Engineering Studio. This full-time position is based in Glendale, CA, or Orlando, FL, and involves working within a collaborative team environment to oversee the design, analysis, safety, and verification of ride control software across multiple projects. The role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in ride control software design, safety standards, and system verification. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all ride control software designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and Disney’s internal quality benchmarks. They will also lead efforts to develop and improve engineering processes, review software designs, advise project teams on safety and quality matters, and mentor junior engineers.
