About The Role
Mytra’s Software team is looking for a senior software engineer to develop and scale the core backend systems that power our simulation and system validation environments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in developing high-performance Python systems beyond traditional API development — working on multi-threaded processes, simulation environments, and backend infrastructure that bridges the gap between real-world robotics and virtual environments.
In this role you will collaborate closely with simulation engineers and other cross-functional teams across software, firmware, and robotics to develop performant, flexible, and scalable simulation tools, optimize performance, and ensure system reliability. Your work will directly impact the fidelity, scalability, and speed of Mytra’s simulation ecosystem by enabling rapid experimentation, system validation, and “what-if” scenario analysis.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend systems for large-scale simulation and system validation environments
- Develop multi-threaded and process-driven Python applications to support high-performance simulation workloads and distributed processes
- Directly partner with simulation engineers, helping to integrate physical models, task schedules, and robot behaviors into scalable and extensible simulation services
