Senior Software Engineer I - AI/ML

About this role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer I - Ai/ml to join the team of a leader in the Hospitals & Medical Centers space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a healthcare environment.


Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available


Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000 annually


Responsibilities

• Develop and implement scalable AI/ML infrastructure for model development and deployment
• Design a multi-year vision for key generative AI areas including text generation and image synthesis
• Architect systems to enhance AI model capabilities and data accessibility
• Implement prompt engineering strategies for effective generative AI guidance
• Collaborate with various teams to prioritize applied AI use cases in the organization
• Analyze product usage to forecast and inform generative AI applications
• Ensure the security of patient health information and compliance with regulations
• Develop APIs to integrate generative AI features into healthcare systems

Qualifications

• BS/BTech (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 4+ years experience building full-stack web applications in cross-functional teams
• 3+ years experience with SQL or similar database querying languages on large multi-table data sets
• 2+ years experience as a trusted technical decision-maker in a team setting
• 2+ years experience coaching junior engineers
