Job Summary
The Senior Project Manager serves as a dynamic change agent and aggressively leads business process improvements and cross functional projects. This role provides sustained improvement to critical operational processes to help management achieve strategic goals and impact financial results. This role is responsible for challenging conventional thinking, mentoring other leaders and team members, and assembling multiple teams to support tactical efforts and serving as both a role model for change and coach. The person should be able to act with the highest professionalism, exercise independent judgment and decision-making, while weighing the interests of multiple stakeholders. This role exercises significant influence without formal authority, including managing vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within budget, within scope, and with customer satisfaction, while also ensuring a positive experience for the project delivery team. The Senior Project Manager also helps build the PMO talent pipeline to support the growth of the organization.
Major Responsibilities/Activities
- Manage multiple complex, high-priority projects within the project portfolio, aligning project delivery with organizational objectives and priorities.
- Manage project budgets, including vendor contracts, ensuring projects deliver value within budgetary constraints.
- Build and manage detailed project plans with clear ownership and deadlines, and hold vendors, clients, and internal team members accountable for completing tasks on time.
- Manage and communicate changes to project scope and facilitate formal change requests.
- Perform risk assessment, identifying and documenting project risks early and often. Recommend and own risk mitigation plans.
