Our client is a publicly traded Manufacturing company headquartered in the GTA!

We are seeking a
Senior Financial Analyst
to lead and support the external audit process, including audit coordination, technical accounting research, and the preparation of complex analyses and reconciliations. This role will also drive key accounting initiatives, including IFRS implementation projects, internal controls, process improvements, and stakeholder support across Finance and Accounting.

Location

North York, ON. Going into the office 1-2 days/week.

About the Opportunity

Audit Support & Execution (40%)

• Lead and support external financial audit including audit walkthroughs, interim audits, and quarterly reviews by preparing complex audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
• Coordinate and respond to auditor inquiries, perform detailed analyses and support the resolution of audit findings to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant audit outcomes

Accounting Projects & Technical Support (40%)

• Support accounting related initiatives such as new IFRS accounting standard implementations, policy updates, transaction reviews, and special accounting analyses;
• Perform technical accounting research and prepare documentation to support accounting positions, estimates, and judgments.

Financial Analysis, Controls & Stakeholder Support (20%)

• Prepare and review complex account reconciliations, variance analyses, and supporting calculations
• Support internal controls over financial reporting, including documentation and remediation of control gaps
• Contribute to process improvements and efficiency enhancements within audit processes
