### Required skills:
Must Have
- 5+ years as a DevOps Engineer in a production Linux environment (per JD). On the call, the Client indicated a preference for 6+ years for this specific opening, with flexibility for an exceptionally strong candidate (treat 5 years as a hard floor and 6+ as the practical target)
- Hands-on containers and Kubernetes - the call was explicit this must go beyond basic exposure: real, in-depth experience standing up and operating clusters, not just "having touched a button in Kubernetes."
- Good understanding of distributed and data systems; experience with large-scale, heavy data loads specifically (Spark, Hadoop, Vertica, Flink were named on the call as reference technologies for this team's stack).
- Good Python scripting experience.
