Job Description
Reporting to the VP of Architecture, the
Senior DevOps Engineer
is a core member of the Freestar Platform Team, responsible for the reliability, security, efficiency, and evolution of our global, customer-facing infrastructure. The Platform Team's mission is to enable our product and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software rapidly and reliably by providing a scalable, automated, and secure foundation.


In this role, you will join a team of skilled engineers to work on strategic projects to enhance system reliability and efficiency, and increase deployment velocity across the organization. You will also work in close collaboration with Engineering and Product teams to provide cross-functional infrastructure and operational support.

Responsibilities

• Cross-Functional Support: Act as the primary technical point of contact for Engineering and Product teams, providing daily operational support for Platform requests.
• Infrastructure & Cloud Management: Design, deploy, and manage scalable services on GCP.
• Automation & CI/CD: Build and optimize repeatable deployment pipelines and deployment blueprints.
• Cost Optimization: Monitor cloud expenditure and implement right-sizing initiatives to support departmental cost-reduction goals.
