Senior Backend Software Engineer (GTM Platform)

About this role

• Ramp.com is the largest top-of-funnel surface at Ramp - over half our inbound SQLs come from it. Web Engineering owns this surface and the tooling marketers use to ship on it
• You’ll build the platforms that let 9+ marketing teams (Product Marketing, Paid Ads, AEO, Brand, Content, Lifecycle, Communications, Events, Sales) launch campaigns, ship landing pages, run experiments, and update content at speed
• Web Engineering is a lean and scrappy team that owns ramp.com end-to-end - the Next.js application, Sanity CMS, in-house A/B experimentation platform, and internal applications that marketers use on top of all of it
• Recent shipped projects include Kirby Prototyper (AI-assisted landing page creation), Sanity MCP with guardrails (agent-driven content workflows), an Ad-Agent to programmatically run Meta and Google ads, and AEO infrastructure that enables Ramp to be cited in AI search results
• The next phase is making those platform pieces compound. We’re doubling down on tooling that turns marketing requests into self-serve workflows, and we’re hiring two backend product engineers to drive the roadmap forward
• Own the end-to-end development of self-serve tooling that converts repeated marketing asks into reusable platform capabilities
• Examples on the near-term roadmap: an MCP integrated directly with our design system and Prototyper app that enables marketers to go from idea to content outline to production ready landing page in minutes, AI content writing workflows, self-improving experimentation tooling, and programmatic sales asset creation
• Be opinionated about agentic and AI-augmented workflows. Most of our compounding leverage comes from tooling that pairs an AI agent with strong guardrails. We expect engineers here to drive direction of the agent layer
