About this role
We’re looking for a Senior AI Platform Engineer for a one-year contractor role.
This is a hands-on platform engineering role focused on building secure, governed AI infrastructure in Azure. We understand direct AI Gateway or MCP Gateway experience may be hard to find since these are still emerging areas. We’re mainly looking for someone with strong fundamentals in AI, security/governance, Azure platform engineering, and DevOps who can grow into those patterns.
Top 5 skills we’re looking for:
AI / LLM fundamentals — practical exposure to LLM APIs, RAG, agents, prompt/data handling, model access patterns, and responsible AI controls.
AI governance and security mindset — understands how to apply access controls, logging, data protection, policy enforcement, and auditability to AI use cases.
Emerging AI gateway / agent architecture awareness — direct AI Gateway or MCP Gateway experience is a plus, but not required; candidate should be able to reason through model routing, tool access, usage controls, and secure enterprise integration.
Hands-on Azure platform engineering — experience building and operating Azure services using identity, networking, Key Vault, monitoring, API Management, storage, and secure cloud patterns.
DevOps / production engineering — CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, observability, automation, runbooks, incident support, and cost-aware platform operations.
Pay: $112,295.88 - $135,238.05 per year
