Senior Accountant - Remote in Colorado or Hybrid Nampa, ID

With a state-of-the-art research & development center and processing facility in Nampa, Idaho, we are committed to innovation and environmental responsibility. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our team, working remotely in the North Denver, Colorado area or in a hybrid capacity in Nampa, Idaho. This position is not eligible for relocation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Comprehensively support all aspects of the general ledger, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations for the monthly, quarterly, or annual closing.
• Support most aspects of accounting management (billing, tax forms, reporting etc.).
• Own all Accounts Receivable activities by posting payments, invoices, reconciling customer accounts, and preparing related KPIs and analysis.
• Actively partner with the business units, including tasks such as training on accounting policies and procedures.
• Establish and maintain internal controls.
• Research accounting issues to ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts, where necessary.
• Analyze and report cost variances.
• Utilize accounting system to facilitate processes and maintain records.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations.
- Exceptional knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting, etc.).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office, advanced Excel knowledge, accounting software (Netsuite a plus).
