Position Summary:
The Senior DevOps Engineer will design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure and deployment platforms with a current focus on Microsoft Azure, while helping prepare and execute an eventual transition to Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role is responsible for creating reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure; owning Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and environment automation; and improving system observability, resilience, and operational excellence. The Senior DevOps Engineer will partner closely with application, data, and platform engineers to enable rapid, safe delivery of production systems and will play a key role in defining cloud standards, migration strategy, and best practices across both cloud providers. *At this time, candidates who would work in the following states will not be considered for this role: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, DC, HI, IL, MA, ME, MI, MD, MN, NV, NJ, NY, RI, VT, and WA.*
Essential Functions:
- Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure and platform services in Azure; plan and execute migration patterns to AWS.
- Own CI/CD and environment automation (build, test, deploy, release) to enable safe, repeatable delivery.
- Implement and evolve observability (metrics, logs, traces, alerting) to improve reliability, performance, and incident response.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across cloud, networking, CI/CD, and platform services; contribute to on-call/incident practices.
