As an individual contributor, responsibilities include contract reviews and assessing the accounting implications including AP accruals, expenses, prepaid, fixed assets, and revenue-related accounts,
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills with the ability to organize self and team to deliver against critical objectives and priorities. They will have the ability to collaborate and lead across multiple functions and roles. This leader will be able to navigate difficult issues successfully with the ability to drive issues through to resolution and validation.
Responsibilities
- Support the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting of liabilities and expenses.
- Develop a strong understanding of the end-to-end operational and financial environment, including key upstream and downstream processes that drive liability accruals and expense classifications.
- Review and interpret contracts and vendor agreements to assess accounting implications and ensure proper classification in accordance with Company policy.
- Support accrual accounting processes across liabilities and expenses, including vendor rebates and other recurring obligations.
- Perform technical accounting research on specific issues and present findings and recommended positions to support decision-making.
- Apply professional skepticism and an inquisitive approach to review and analyze the appropriateness and reasonableness of accounting conclusions, clearly articulating positions and driving issues through to resolution with transparency.
