Senior Accountant needed!!

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with deep expertise in multi-jurisdictional tax compliance to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will own the full tax accounting cycle — from VAT and sales tax filings to income tax provisions and financial statement preparation — while serving as a subject matter expert across the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Tax Compliance & Reporting

• Prepare, review, and file value-added tax (VAT) returns across applicable jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and on-time submission
• Manage end-to-end sales and use tax compliance, including nexus analysis, rate updates, and multi-state filings
• Calculate and maintain income tax provisions (current and deferred) in accordance with ASC 740
• Support preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns in coordination with external tax advisors
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on the organization’s compliance obligations

Account Reconciliation & General Ledger

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliations of all tax-related balance sheet accounts, including:
• Sales tax payable and VAT payable/receivable accounts
• Deferred tax assets and liabilities
• Income tax payable and estimated tax prepayments
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner; escalate material variances to management
• Maintain organized workpapers and supporting documentation for all tax accounts
• Financial Statement Preparation
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare and review tax-related disclosures for financial statement footnotes
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all tax entries are recorded accurately and on schedule
• Collaborate with external auditors during annual audit, providing tax workpapers and responding to inquiries
