Overview

We are seeking an experienced
Resident Engineer specializing in Cohesity
to provide hands-on, expert-level support for a large-scale enterprise data protection environment.

This is a long-term remote contract opportunity requiring deep
Cohesity platform expertise

, and familiarity with
FortKnox immutable backup environments
.

The ideal candidate will bring a consultative approach and the technical expertise needed to optimize backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and enterprise data management at scale.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the dedicated
Cohesity Subject Matter Expert (SME)
, working closely with infrastructure and security teams.
- Design, implement, administer, and optimize
Cohesity DataProtect and DataManage
configurations across hybrid environments.
- Troubleshoot backup failures, replication issues, and recovery bottlenecks, coordinating with vendor technical support when necessary.
- Lead Cohesity cluster health assessments, capacity planning, configuration, tuning, and upgrade planning.
- Develop and enforce data protection policies aligned with
RTO/RPO
requirements.
- Integrate Cohesity with
AWS cloud workloads
for backup, archival, and disaster recovery.
- Maintain
FortKnox immutable backup
configurations and ensure alignment with enterprise security standards.
- Develop runbooks, architecture documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Collaborate with IT, infrastructure, security, and compliance stakeholders to strengthen the organization's overall data protection and recovery posture.
