Project GreyFox is hiring a remote Sales Manager to join our leadership team. This person will work directly with our traveling closers as the inside-sales backbone of our operation — managing deal flow, supporting closers in real time, recovering unconverted opportunities, and owning the QA function that protects deal quality.
This is a 1099 role. Work-from-home after initial training. Built for a senior closer with management instincts who wants ownership of a function, not just a quota.
Position Overview
You're the inside-sales counterpart to our field closers. Closers run in-home appointments during blitzes; you run the office side of the operation that supports them. The role has three core functions:
1. Deal Recovery (the biggest commission driver)
Closers have until the end of their blitz to convert each appointment. Any deal that isn't closed by the time the blitz wraps drops into your queue. You'll call the homeowner back from a quality-assurance angle — reviewing the proposal, surfacing concerns the closer didn't fully resolve, offering manager-level tools (rebates, payment deferrals, financing flexibility), and working the deal toward a close. Any deal you save is split 50/50 with the original closer.
2. Closer Support / Take-Over (TO) Calls
While closers are sitting in homes, they'll patch you in when they need a manager voice — to add urgency, authorize a concession, or break a stalemate. You're the senior voice on the other end of the line: trained, professional, and able to close from a position of authority. This is where experienced closers earn their reputation.
3. QA Oversight
A dedicated QA specialist handles the line-by-line review of proposals, photos, and paperwork. You oversee the function — setting the standard, spot-checking work, resolving issues the QA specialist escalates, and ultimately owning the quality of deals that go out the door to our solar partner.
