ROLE CONTRIBUTION TO THE COMPANY
The person will be responsible for the Business Development in newer markets not explored by Velan like Fertilizer, Chemical, Marine, etc. He/She shall also be responsible to stonewall the existing business of Power and increase Velans reach with the channel partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Business Development
1. Bookings targets to be achieved for the Various Process Industries, including Power.
2. Generate new business from 2 new logos with a cumulative order value to be minimum of 25K$ each.
3. New Industry: Work to get 1 order from a new industry with a minimum order value of 25K$.
4. Stonewall the existing business of Power for Velan.
5. Channel Partner appointment and regular management to increase the business.
6. Track project pipelines, shutdown requirements, and upcoming tenders.
Techno-Commercial Activities
1. Review RFQs, tenders, and technical specifications; ensure accurate and competitive proposals.
2. Support negotiations on pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms in line with company guidelines.
3. Coordinate with internal teams for order execution, documentation, and customer satisfaction.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
1. Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and upcoming projects in the East India region.
2. Provide regular market feedback to management for strategic planning.
3. Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities for Velans valve portfolio.
Travel & Representation
1. Undertake extensive travel within the territory to visit customers, project sites, and EPC offices.
2. Represent Velan Valves at customer meetings, technical discussions, and industry events.
Education/Experience
1. Experience: 20+ years.
2. Reputed Valve industry background.
3. Engineer in any stream, preferably Mechanical, Chemical, or Production.
4. MBA is an advantage.
