Quantitative Software Engineer - Hedge Fund - $300,000-$400,000 plus a tail on the returns

You build the infrastructure that drives real investment decisions across global markets, and you see the impact every day.

This is a firm managing over $5 billion in assets with a team so lean that every engineer has genuine ownership and visibility. There is no bureaucracy to wade through. Technology, research, and investment sit side by side and move fast together. You are not a support function here. You are central to how the fund operates.

Your work sits at the intersection of quantitative research and systematic trading. You are building and maintaining the systems that power trade execution, positions, and reporting across products including equities, bonds, and swaps. You are close to the full trade lifecycle, from booking through to middle office workflows, and you understand how it all connects.

You work directly with researchers and engineers, not through layers of project managers or business analysts. When something breaks in production, you trace it, own it, and fix it. You bring the kind of technical judgement that lets you operate independently and make decisions with confidence.

The problems are genuinely hard. Large-scale data engineering, machine learning infrastructure, scientific computing at scale. You are working with cutting-edge technology and people who are exceptionally good at what they do.

You bring strong Python engineering skills and real experience with trading or investment systems in a hedge fund, bank, or trading technology vendor. You know your way around OMS platforms, trade lifecycle, and financial product workflows. Experience with C# or .NET and a background in data engineering will make you stand out, though neither is essential.
