About this role
The Vault is a crypto-finance company building an MPC-based crypto custody and wallet platform designed for both institutional and retail users. Our infrastructure combines threshold signing, HSM and hardware-wallet integration with non-extractable key shares, and robust recovery and policy flows across a growing range of chains and assets. We are headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus.
We are looking for a QA Engineer to help us ensure product quality through a combination of manual and automated testing. It is important to us that you use AI tools in your day-to-day work and take an active part in developing our QA processes together with the team.
A key focus of this role is intensive automation of our current, largely semi-manual testing process. While manual testing remains part of the job, the clear expectation is that you will steadily replace repetitive manual checks with reliable automated coverage — this is an automation-heavy role, not a predominantly manual one.
Responsibilities:
• Perform manual functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Develop and maintain automated tests for UI and API.
• Analyse requirements, surface ambiguities, and design test scenarios.
• Create and maintain test cases, checklists, and test data.
• Report defects clearly, verify fixes, and track issues through to resolution.
• Decide which checks are worth automating and integrate automated tests into CI/CD.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and the product team.
• Use AI tools to prepare test scenarios, write automated tests, analyse failures, and speed up routine tasks — while verifying the quality of their output.
• Hands-on experience in manual and automated testing of web applications and APIs.
• Solid grasp of testing fundamentals, test design techniques, and the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools.
• Programming skills sufficient to write and maintain automated tests.
• Ability to produce clear test documentation and reproducible bug reports.
• Experience with DevTools, API clients such as Postman, and issue-tracking systems.
• Knowledge of Git and an understanding of CI/CD principles.
• Confident, regular use of AI tools in QA processes — this is a mandatory requirement.
• Ability to critically evaluate AI output and follow the rules for handling confidential data.
• Attention to detail, independence, and the ability to make a well-reasoned case for the issues you find.
Nice to Have
• Experience testing back-office systems, internal admin panels, or enterprise applications with complex business processes.
• Experience verifying role models, access permissions, approval workflows, and audit logs.
• Knowledge of SQL and experience validating data correctness.
• Skills in working with logs and monitoring tools.
Competitive salary;
Annual performance bonus;
Fully remote position — work from anywhere in the world (team operates on CET);
Paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and public holidays.
