Senior Software Engineer — AI-First Applications

We’re working with a fast-moving financial technology company that is building software to transform how complex financial operations are run.

The engineering team is developing a range of AI-first applications used across the business.

We’re looking for a
high-agency, AI-first Software Engineer
who is comfortable taking ambiguous problems, rapidly building solutions, and owning applications all the way from prototype to production.

What You'll Do

• Take prototypes and turn them into reliable production applications on AWS, using the tools and technologies you think are best suited to the problem.
• Translate open-ended business goals into working software without waiting for detailed specifications.
• Build and maintain a variety of internal business applications, including AI-native products and workflows.
• Own the full production lifecycle, including infrastructure, deployment, CI/CD, monitoring, security, secrets management and alerting.
• Ship improvements frequently, with an expectation of deploying updates on a daily basis.
• Work closely with a distributed, remote team to rapidly iterate on products.
• Take genuine end-to-end ownership: identify problems, make technical decisions, ship solutions and ensure they continue to work reliably in production.

What We're Looking For

Ideally, you'll have:

- Approximately
5–8 years of backend (python) engineering experience
, working across both application and infrastructure code.
- Strong production experience deploying and operating services on
AWS or comparable cloud platforms
.
- Hands-on experience with
containers, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, secrets management and observability
.
- Deep familiarity with at least one backend programming language.
- Significant experience using
AI coding tools
as part of your development workflow.
- Experience designing and building applications that incorporate
LLMs
