About this role
Job Summary
We’re hiring a Product Marketing Manager to help us say clearly, in plain language, what Sunwave actually does for the people who use it — so buyers understand it, sales teams can talk about it with confidence, and customers feel good about the platform they’ve invested in. You’ll work closely with product, sales, customer success, and our executive team. When someone needs to explain a feature, or position against a competitor, you’re the person they come to.
This is a build-it-yourself role. Sunwave and Lightning Step came together recently, and we’re a PE-backed company still figuring out how this function should work day to day. You won’t be stepping into an established playbook — you’ll be writing it.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain battlecards for the providers we compete with most, grounded in what's actually happened in real deals, not a feature-by-feature checklist
- Give our AEs, SDR, and SEs the objection handlers, discovery guides, and one-pagers they need for each of the communities we serve, from PE-backed enterprise networks to independent SUD operators
- Work with sales leadership on win/loss reviews and turn what you learn into sharper, more honest messaging
- Lead the go-to-market for new releases covering internal alignment, external announcements, and copy for every channel
- Take what's on the product roadmap and translate it into language that speaks to the person using it
- Keep our positioning and message pillars current as the market and the platform evolve
- Partner with our Customer Growth team on product updates, platform change notices, and expansion messaging for the providers already trusting us with their day-to-day operations
- Write executive and board narratives that connect product and market progress back to what matters for the business
- Ground every piece of messaging in what customers have actually said and done, not in what we assume they care about
- Work with Customer Success and Sales to pull...
