About this role
About the company
Openprovider is an ICANN-accredited domain registrar and technology company founded in 2004 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
We are a fully-remote organization with more than 90 team members spread across 20+ countries.
A diverse and inclusive organization, we support a healthy work/life balance and are constantly looking for new ways to help the well-being of our people. We support a flexible schedule and are 100% performance and result-oriented.
At Openprovider, we're not just a company; we're a mission-driven team dedicated to transforming the domain industry. We believe in providing a trusted digital identity to every business.
Our innovative approach is reshaping the industry from a traditional transactional model to a more customer-centric, subscription-based approach. We pay subscriptions for music, newspapers, and movies - why should domains be any different?
Our vision is to build a place where curious, self-driven people do their best work together, to deliver on our mission: a reliable, free, and secure online world for every customer we serve. Our world is changing fast, especially with AI, and we see that as an opportunity to stay ahead of change, shape it and create more value for our customers.
Our values
Be a wolf, not a sheep: we value the entrepreneurial spirit in everyone.
Knowledge equals power: we are constantly hungry to learn, for ourselves and our customers.
Enjoy what you do and do what you enjoy: we want work to be something you look forward to.
Quality results in quantity: we care about excellence and attention to detail.
TEAM, Together everyone achieves more: collaboration is how we get our best results.
Come join us on our journey to create a trusted digital world.
About the role
Openprovider's domain portfolio is about far more than registrations. As our Product Manager for Domains & DNS, you will grow what we earn from it, while keeping compliance sound and our resellers' trust high.
You will report to our Director Product and work as part of the Domains squad, alongside Engineering, Domain Operations, Sales, Support, Marketing and Finance.
Key responsibilities
Lead TLD integrations and accreditations end to end, using AI-led execution: build the business case, support registry contracting, deliver the technical integration, implement business policies and compliance, launch and hand over to Domain Operations, and migrate TLDs off upstream suppliers.
Maintain the integration roadmap, prioritised by domains under management at stake and margin uplift, and measure each migrated TLD's margin against its business case.
Own the aftermarket product, including reseller tooling that makes it easy for our resellers to list and sell names, and fast, reliable transfers after each sale.
Own parking monetisation for eligible domains, covering provider performance, page-content standards and reseller revenue share.
Run our expiring domains program (auctions, drop-catch, backorders, DAX), within each registry's rules and ICANN policy.
Act as product owner of the registry automation pipeline: own its requirements, roadmap and quality measurement, agreeing the roadmap with Domain Operations every quarter.
Support the Director Product and Lead PM on the reseller platform and module roadmaps through discovery and clear specifications for assigned items.
Equip Sales, Support and Marketing for every integration change, with a changelog, an internal FAQ and a Support briefing for each release.
Take an active part in agile delivery: grooming, sprint planning, stand-ups and retros for the Domains squad, keeping your Jira items sprint-ready and accurate.
What we are looking for
What you bring
TLD and registry knowledge: you understand gTLD and ccTLD registry models, accreditation processes and regional policy specifics.
Domain systems and EPP: in-depth understanding of DNS, EPP and registry-side processes.
Domain policy literacy: you can apply ICANN policies (ERRP, Transfer Policy, DNS abuse obligations) and registry-specific expiry rules to product design.
Aftermarket and monetization economics: you understand marketplace dynamics, parking yield, auction mechanics and reseller revenue-share models.
Requirements and specifications: you write clear PRDs, acceptance criteria and bug reports.
Agile delivery and documentation: you are proficient in Jira and Confluence and comfortable running grooming sessions. Experience with EOS is a plus.
Analytical thinking: you are comfortable with quantitative and qualitative analysis, break down complex problems and report clearly on results.
Stakeholder management: you manage registries externally and Sales, Support and Finance internally, aligning priorities and expectations.
AI proficiency: you use AI tools every day and can build AI workflows for documentation and analysis.
Clear communication: you explain complex topics in a structured way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
How we work at Openprovider
Self Management: you own your time, priorities and results, and raise issues early.
Learning Agility and AI Literacy: you learn fast and use AI with confidence and good judgement.
Adaptive Innovation Mindset: you see change as a chance to improve and help others move forward positively.
Quality Orientation: you take pride in your work, test assumptions with facts and deliver results others can rely on.
Customer Focus: you understand who your work serves, including our resellers, and make decisions that create real value for them.
