About this role
IMPORTANT: This is a high growth role we expect this role to turn into an executive role almost immediately post launch. This role will also receive significant equity in return.
About Semblur:
Semblur is building the category-defining AI document hygiene and cross cloud organization engine. We solve a universal, painful problem: individuals, teams, and enterprises are drowning in massive digital clutter across Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, and local systems.
Unlike standard productivity tools, Semblur is an enterprise-grade semantic data orchestration platform. We have financial backing by an established firm and are launching with a built-in sandbox of 7 mid-market enterprise portfolio companies as Day 1 customers. Our distribution risk is zero; our focus is entirely on bulletproof engineering.
The Role:
We are looking for a product-minded, backend-heavy Full-Stack Engineer to own the development and execution of our core system architecture from day one. You will be building a secure, high-throughput semantic ingestion pipeline, designing a hybrid metadata/vector indexing engine, and constructing an approval-driven action execution layer.
This is an elite opportunity to serve as our first engineering hire, working directly with the founder to take Semblur from blueprint to enterprise deployment within a tight window.
Core Responsibilities:
To be discussed in interview.

Backend Expertise: Deep proficiency in Python, Node.js, and asynchronous job queues (Celery, RabbitMQ, or Redis).
Data Layer Mastery: Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and embedding-based semantic search workflows.
Security First: Familiarity with modern data encryption (at rest and in transit), enterprise access controls, and cloud API safety pr...
