About The RoleDraganfly Innovations is on the lookout for a Lead Accountant to join our Finance team on a 16-month maternity leave coverage. This is a fully remote position reporting to the VP, Finance. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in accounting within a manufacturing environment, with a focus on cost accounting, financial reporting, and team leadership.
This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and audit processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards while contributing to the overall success of the finance function.
Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze financial records, systems, and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
• Support month-end close processes and prepare financial statements
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Reconcile accounting discrepancies and resolve financial imbalances
• Maintain and support the general ledger across all areas
• Provide guidance and training to accounting and finance team members
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial operations and reporting
• Contribute to process improvements and ongoing efficiency within the finance function
