Junior Full Stack Developer

About this role

Role Purpose

The Junior Full Stack Developer is responsible for contributing to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of ProSpend’s applications. This role involves programming, database design, data analysis, documentation, and providing Level 3 development support. The Junior Full Stack Developer will work closely with Level 1 and Level 2 Support teams, assisting with technical escalations, applying fixes, and making code or database changes in production environments (e.g., RDS)

Key Responsibilities

Software Development

• Develop, test, and maintain application features using Java, Python, and Node.js.
• Perform database design, write and optimize MySQL queries, and support RDS production databases.
• Contribute to front-end and back-end development tasks as assigned.
• Ensure code quality through testing, debugging, and peer reviews.

Support & Collaboration

● Provide Level 3 development support for production incidents and escalations.

● Collaborate with Level 1 and Level 2 Support teams to resolve technical issues.

● Apply hotfixes, bug fixes, and enhancements to applications and production databases.

● Document solutions, fixes, and technical approaches for knowledge sharing.

Monitoring & Operations

● Support application performance monitoring using AWS CloudWatch and Grafana.

● Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.

● Assist in maintaining applications running on AWS EC2 instances.

Key Requirements

Experience and Expertise

● Hands-on experience with Java (IntelliJ IDE), Python, and Node.js for application development.

● Proficiency with MySQL (database design, queries, and performance optimization).

● Exposure to AWS services (EC2, RDS, CloudWatch).

● Understanding of web application architecture and full-stack development practices.
