Junior Data Engineer

About this role

An innovative organisation in the data solutions space is looking for a Junior Data Engineer. You will play a critical role in the swift, accurate, and secure progression of client data projects, ensuring the reliability of outputs and driving process improvements within the production team.


What You'll Be Doing

• Performing bespoke file matches, standardisation, enhancement, and deduplication of external data sets.
• Executing ad-hoc queries and data manipulation using Databricks, SQL, and specialised data tools.
• Developing and maintaining robust ETL logic tailored to specific production and client requirements.
• Mapping and documenting comprehensive process flows to ensure operational resilience and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Sales and Product to align data outputs with client expectations.

What We're Looking For

• 1-3 years of hands-on data processing experience, ideally involving name and address data.
• Strong practical experience with Databricks and SQL for data manipulation.
• Deep understanding of data hygiene, enhancement, and deduplication processes.
• Proven ability to analyse datasets, identify anomalies, and implement rigorous quality assurance testing.
• Legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom.
