About the Opportunity:

The organization is a major industrial employer specializing in the design, building, and refueling of nuclear aircraft carriers and submarines for the U.S. Navy. The IT Software Engineer 2 role focuses on enterprise deployment of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) applications such as Teamcenter, Visualization, and NX, supporting business process enhancements through software design, development, and testing.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software

• Set operational specifications and analyze software requirements

• Deploy PLM applications enterprise-wide, including Teamcenter, Visualization, and NX

• Use PowerShell and MSI for software installation and deployment

• Develop computer system specifications aligned with system architecture standards

• Establish and document system parameters to ensure hardware and software compatibility

• Revise systems and procedures to improve data handling, conversion, input/output, and storage

• Adhere to the Systems Development Life Cycle process and support system engineers with requirements analysis, system design, and testing

• Collaborate with project management, systems engineers, business analysts, technical resources, and end users

• Maintain software quality standards and operational methods consistent with Fortune 500 companies

• Foster collaborative relationships with customers, project managers, and team members

• Coordinate with junior and mid-level technical personnel across organizations

• Maintain application documentation, tune launcher and installer performance, and manually install PLM tools if automated methods fail

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of relevant exempt experience, or Master’s Degree with no required experience
