General Description
The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for translating business data needs into data warehousing and reporting solutions through close collaboration with business teams to identify business requirements enabling data driven decision making throughout the enterprise.
Tasks, Duties, Functions
- This role covers all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle with respect to data warehousing and reporting solutions. Requirements analysis, report content identification and report functionality analysis, SDLC documentation, and other recommend designs/solutions will be necessary to meet business or other requirements.
- Determine and recommend reporting enhancements or improvements for existing as well as new processes through the use of enterprise business intelligence tools to enhance the analysis capability or operational efficiency of various business units within the organization. This includes working across business areas, applications, data domains and technologies.
- Document business requirements (BRDs) and functional design specifications (FRDs) for conversions, interfaces and reports.
- Drive efficient and effective joint business/IT requirements and solution discussions in addition to stakeholder review meetings.
- Identify functional gaps and opportunities of improvement.
- Coordinate and drive issue resolution with cross-functional teams during the design and development process.
- Work closely with users to define and document use cases, scenarios and test scripts.
- Prepare and execute test plans to ensure solution/design meet business requirements.
