Job Summary:
The Revenue Accountant is responsible for the daily reconciliation of cash activity and income journals across hotel and restaurant operations, ensuring that revenue recorded in Property Management Systems (PMS), point-of-sale (POS) systems, and merchant processors are accurately reconciled to bank deposits and the general ledger.
Responsibilities:
• Perform daily income and revenue reconciliation for hotel and restaurant operations across PMS, POS, and general ledger.
• Reconcile room revenue, F&B sales, taxes, tips, service charges, and other operating income.
• Investigate and resolve variances related to posting errors, interfaces, and system issues.
• Complete daily revenue close procedures accurately and on time.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash and bank reconciliations, including deposits, credit cards, chargebacks, and merchant fees.
• Track and clear reconciling items with proper documentation and timely resolution.
• Monitor compliance with cash handling and deposit policies.
• Review and validate data flows and automated interfaces between systems.
