The Financial Analyst is a key member of the Finance team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of monthly and annual reporting requirements. You will oversee the accompanying analysis—including variance analysis, accounting of transactions, and the delivery of financial information on a timely and accurate basis. Primary Responsibilities:
- Compile and prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, and adjustments;
- Prepare and process journal entries originating from various sub-functional areas, ensuring entries balance with the GL and reflecting a strong understanding of upstream and downstream impacts;
- Maintain and journalize prepaid transactions ensuring completeness and accuracy, and assist in the month-end accounting close process;
- Perform a reasonability test on key financial items such as revenues and general expenses;
- Prepare and/or review budget information relating to utilities and building expenses;
- Perform monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and resolve findings or errors with responsible staff, ensuring smooth, cross-functional accounting processes are maintained;
