The Canadian Tire FP&A team plays a critical role in enabling strong financial performance in an evolving retail environment You will partner closely with the Finance team to understand results, deliver actionable insights, and influence business decisions.

## What you'll do:

  • Support the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting process for the SC&T cost centers
  • Analyze transportation and logistics costs, including freight, fuel, and carrier expenses, and identify trends and variances
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, including variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) with clear, actionable commentary
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Transportation operations teams to understand cost drivers and support decision-making
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate transportation network costs, route optimization initiatives, and vendor/carrier contracts
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost per unit shipped, cost as a % of volume, and other operational efficiency metrics
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and business cases to support capital and operational investment decisions
  • Support month-end close activities, including accruals and journal entries related to SC&T costs
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in reporting and analysis workflows
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across financial systems and reporting tools

## What you'll Bring: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field - 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a related finance role - Working towards or holding a professional accounting/finance designation (CPA, CFA, or equivalent) considered an asset - Strong Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, advanced formulas); experience with Power BI or similar BI tools is a plus - Experience with ERP/financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) preferred - **Strong analytical and p...
