Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing residential construction, remodeling, plumbing, and home-improvement projects from pre-construction through final customer signoff.
This position serves as the primary field connection between customers, technicians, subcontractors, suppliers, and the internal operations team. The Project Manager is accountable for delivering projects safely, professionally, profitably, and as close to the promised schedule as possible.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates clearly, identifies issues before they become larger problems, and takes full ownership of the customer experience. Success in this position requires balancing quality, scheduling, profitability, documentation, and customer satisfaction across multiple active projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management
- Manage assigned projects from pre-construction through final completion.
- Review the approved scope, estimate, product selections, allowances, drawings, and customer expectations before work begins.
- Conduct pre-construction meetings and confirm each project is ready to begin.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, milestone dates, and completion forecasts.
- Coordinate technicians, subcontractors, materials, deliveries, permits, inspections, and customer access.
- Visit active job sites regularly to monitor progress, workmanship, safety, cleanliness, and adherence to the approved scope.
- Identify scheduling conflicts, material issues, quality concerns, and project risks early.
- Confirm each phase is properly completed before moving the project forward.
- Maintain accurate project notes, photographs, documents, and status updates within company systems.
- Manage punch-list completion and conduct final customer walkthroughs.
- Obtain all required completion documents and customer signoffs.
