You will work within a research and development environment to build the infrastructure, pipelines, and applications that power enterprise-wide AI initiatives. This role focuses on creating scalable technical solutions that shape how the organisation operationalises data science and machine learning.

What you'll be doing

• Collaborate with AI engineers and data scientists to define strategies for data ingestion and cloud infrastructure design.

• Serve as a technical subject matter expert to guide architectural decisions and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.

• Design and implement reusable software libraries and components to accelerate development and increase efficiency.

• Lead complex problem-solving efforts to deliver scalable, resilient, and maintainable backend systems.

• Implement infrastructure-as-code and monitor software vulnerabilities to maintain a secure and reliable platform.

What we're looking for

• Seven or more years of experience building complex software systems, including pipelines, services, and backends.

• Seven or more years of professional software development experience using Python.

• Five or more years of experience working with AWS cloud services such as EKS, EC2, and Lambda.

• Proven track record of developing backend applications with API services and computational frameworks.

• Experience providing technical leadership for large-scale initiatives while promoting engineering best practices.
