Role Overview

We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients for a senior-level Data Analyst V to support database management, system enhancements, and data security initiatives.

The primary function of this role is to coordinate changes to computer databases, test and implement database solutions, and apply strong knowledge of database management systems to ensure performance, reliability, and security. This position also plays a key role in planning and implementing safeguards to protect sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate database development initiatives and define project scope and system limitations
• Review and approve testing of programs and databases prior to deployment
• Evaluate existing database systems and direct analysts and programmers on required changes and improvements
• Estimate time and cost requirements based on project requests describing user database needs
• Approve, schedule, plan, and supervise installation and testing of new products and system enhancements
• Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to protect data against accidental or unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure
• Develop standards and guidelines governing software acquisition, database usage, and information protection
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and constructive feedback to team members
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Work independently while effectively managing time and priorities

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in computer programming or equivalent technical training required
• Strong knowledge of database management systems and database security principles
• Proven experience reviewing, implementing, and safeguarding database environments
