Position summary

Reporting to the project management office manager, information technology (IT), the data analyst is responsible for collecting, processing, analyzing, and interpreting data to support business and technical decision-making. The data analyst will use advanced qualitative and quantitative methods to identify trends, develop reports, and provide actionable insights that improve systems and processes. This includes but is not limited to regular data quality monitoring, preparing data for analysis and generating regular and ad hoc reports.

Duties and responsibilities


Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • support all data requests:
  • review, extract and clean data
  • manipulate and merge data
  • analyze data
  • prepare data summaries
  • design and maintain dashboards, reports, charts and graphs as required by operations and key business partners
  • monitor system performance metrics and identify trends and anomalies
  • analyze data related to system usage, application performance, and operational efficiency
  • translate business requirements into technical data analysis and reporting solutions
  • maintain and manage databases, data warehouses, and data models
  • guide developers or database administrators to design new data structures in line with an organization-wide data dictionary that can facilitate cross-system integrations
  • perform statistical analysis to identify patterns, correlations and opportunities for improvement
  • ensure data accuracy, integrity and consistency across IT systems
  • collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, system administrators, cybersecurity specialists, leadership teams, and business analysts
  • document data processes, methodologies, and reporting standards
  • support data governance and compliance initiatives
